The “ORF Steiermark Klangwolke” is a fixed point in Styrian cultural life! After the successful ORF broadcasts of 14 Styriarte performances – including “Porgy and Bess”, “Mozart!!!”, “Beethoven 9”, “Schubert in Stainz”, “Music by Händel, Fux, Vivaldi” – in recent years, we would like to transform the whole of Styria into a large concert hall together with you again this year.
A highlight of the Styriarte 2022 is the concert evening “TE DEUM”. Whoever travels through Europe in front of the television knows this music from the live broadcasts of the Eurovision: the prelude to the Te Deum by Charpentier has been the fanfare of the European Broadcasting Union since 1954. Conductor JORDI SAVALL will gather musicians from all over Europe around him on Saturday, 9 July 2022, in the parish church of Stainz and let the famous “Te Deum” and Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Magnificat” shine in brilliant light – with an outstanding ensemble of soloists, the Arnold Schoenberg Choir and the Styriarte Festival Orchestra.
And the whole country will be present at this cultural event with the “Klangwolke”:
ORF III will show the impressive concert evening “TE DEUM” on Austria-wide television on 9 July from 9 pm.
