We are delighted to once again announce this year’s album presentation by Berndt Luef. The Berndt Luef Quintet will guide us through a swinging open-air “ear promenade,” enriched by his insightful introductions and explanations.

Berndt Luef founded his trio in 1982 and has since continuously instigated concerts and projects with its members, while also forming new off-shoot ensembles. The repertoire consists of original compositions by Berndt Luef, which reflect both concrete experiences and events, as well as an engagement with developments across all areas of music. Although many pieces are fully arranged, ample space remains for fellow musicians to develop their own interpretations through improvisation. He feels comfortable performing in many different constellations, demonstrating his versatility as a dedicated musician.
