Editha Weber: DAS GLÜCK WOHNT IM GARTEN – Musical Book Presentation

Dr.in Editha Weber

Editha Weber studied history, Protestant theology and cultural history in Germany and Great Britain, received her doctorate with a thesis on travel research and was active in academic research and teaching for several years. During this time, she wrote books and essays on topics of cultural history, research on England and the historical development of poverty. She then worked as a freelance author, lecturer (institutions, Urania, VHS) and accompanied guests on study trips through Europe.
She now lives in Styria and works as a cultural mediator, guiding guests through a historical rose garden, for example. As a book author, she is interested in cultural history and especially in the contribution of women as patrons and mediators. She regularly writes about culture, travel and gardens for print and online media. She will present her new book “Happiness lives in the garden. From Elizabeth von Arnim to Margery Fish” in a picture lecture.

Juan-Carlos Sungurlian

The reading will be accompanied by the great musician Juan-Carlos Sungurlian, who will conjure up earth-shattering pieces from his instruments with his fingers.
