Christine Swoboda (bandoneon) & Lisa Cristelli (voice):Â Milonga, Tango, Chanson
Christine Swoboda combines music and yoga in a very special way. After studying architecture in Graz and the organ in Vienna, Christine devoted herself to intensive training in various yoga techniques alongside music. Her musical palette ranges from classical music to the exotic sounds of the sansula. She also plays the piano, bandoneon and handpan.
Austrian soprano Lisa Cristelli began her musical education in Graz, where she studied violin and ballet from an early age. Already showing a rich voice with a distinctive timbre, she appeared as a soloist in concerts and opera productions during her teenage years. She began her voice studies at the age of 16 at the Music Academy of Graz and continued at the University of Music and Performing Arts of Vienna, where she was awarded the advanced diploma (Master) in singing. She has attended masterclasses with artists such as Montserrat Caballé, Ernesto Palacio and Kurt Widmer. In October 2008 she was awarded a one-year scholarship by Centro Universale di Belcanto to study with Mirella Freni at her Academy in Modena, Italy. She is currently doing studies of repertoire with Irina Gavrilovici in Vienna.
She also appears in shows and programmes of music of the 1920s, Tango & Chanson, often with bandoneonist, pianist and organist Christine Swoboda, as they form together the duo CHANTONEON.
