Duo Tjaša Fabjančič (Loops/Compositions/Vocals) & Michael Lagger (Piano/Voice)
On their current album MINIATUREn, the Slovenian singer and composer Tjaša Fabjančič weaves melodic and warm melodies with poetic texts in multiple languages. Miniatures are delicate and full of fire, honest and heartfelt, free and stylistically independent. They explore high and low, the beginning and end moments of life, spanning the fragile divide between conflict and grace.
Tjaša Fabjančič, who currently resides in Graz, presents her newest Songs with her longtime fellow traveler and musical partner, the extrodinary pianist Michael Lagger, from Austria. Tjaša Fabjančič studied jazz singing at the University of Performing Arts, Graz und at tjhe Conservatory of Amsterdam. She won several European Jazz competitions with her band “Playgrounds”, and has brought out two albums: Traveling (2009) und Circles (2011). Her two solo albums “Pripovedi/(Stories) (2013) und MINIATUREn were widely acclaimed in Austria and in Slovenia..

Michael Lagger studied classical piano with Alexei Kornienko and finished his Master’s in Jazz Piano at the University of Performing Arts, Graz, studying with Harald Neuwirth, Oliver Kent & Olaf Polziehn, and Jazz Composition with  Ed Partyka. During his studies, Lagger won several prizes and awards. As a pianist and composer, he brings a lyrical and grounding element to his solo concerts and chamber music collaborations.
