Album presentation Katharina Gross-Marinissen: INSIDE

Cellomondo arose from the vision of commissioning (young) female composers from all over the world to create new works for solocello (and electronics). The composers create works that reflect both the richness of their individual background/origin and the expressiveness of the instrument cello. In the meantime, three CDs with works written for the project have already been published. In 2024, cellomondo celebrates its 10th anniversary. On this occasion, cellomondo presents its fourth CD entitled “Inside” with works by Australian, Argentine, German and Korean composers in the 2024/25 season. The CD is related to Katharina’s Künstlerresidenz 2024/25 at the Aubette 1928 in Strasbourg, for which she composed a new work entitled “Images Intérieures”. Parts of her new composition will also be heard.
