will perform this CDÂ presentation concert.
In this trio, three young musicians combine their musical influences from Brazil, Taiwan, Israel and Austria. They play their own compositions, which also show some Taiwanese folk songs, Brazilian rhythms or Polka grooves. It’s not about the musical difference but about finding a common musical language.
Victoria Pfeil was born 1994 in Steyr, Upper Austria, and now lives in Linz. She has been studying the saxophone with Florian Bramböck and Andreas See at Anton Bruckner University since 2012.
She’s a member of the jazz trio VICTHAMIN, the Bruckner University Big Band, the saxophone quartet “Tale Of A Reed”, Sepp and trio akk:zent. Concert tours take her to different parts of Austria, Slovenia, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. In total, four CDs have been released with her contribution.
With trio akk:zent she took part in the Biberacher and the Burghausener Jazz Price (3rd Place). In 2017 trio akk:zent won an Art Scholarship of the city of Linz.
Thatiana Gomes was born 1990 in Joao Pessoa, ParaÃba, Brasil. She started her musical career in Brasil and completed the course ” Brasilian Popular Music” at the Federal University of ParaÃba (UFPB).
In Brasil, she gave concerts with musicians like Chico Cesar, Waldonys, Santana o cantador, Genival Lacerda, Cezzinha, Mark Rapp, Phil DeGreg and Harold Mabern. Also, she played one season with the “Orquestra Sinfônica Jovem da ParaÃba”.
Now, Thatiana lives in Linz, Upper Austria, and studies the double bass with Peter Herbert at Anton Bruckner University.
Tzu-Min Lee was born 1988 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and now lives in Linz, Upper Austria. After graduating her studies of classical piano in Taiwan, she discovered her passion for jazz music.
From 2012-2014 she studied jazz piano at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in Israel. Later, she moved to Vienna and completed her studies in 2015 with distinction.
Since 2016 she has been studying jazz piano with Dejan Pecenko and jazz flute with Christian Radovan at Anton Bruckner University in Linz.
Tzu-Min Lee is founder of the jazz quartet “Tzu-Min Lee Quartet” and member of VICTHAMIN, the Bruckner University Big Band and the Big Peter’s Band.
