Maria Beatrice Cantelli and Mag.art. Hugo Gonzalez Zurita will perform J. S. Bach, Giuliani, A. Piazzolla … and x-mas songs.
Maria Beatrice was born 1987 and has already collected important experience by playing in prestigious halls (Musikverein Wien, Albert Hall London, San Carlo Napoli, Teatro della Scala Milan, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Konzerthaus Wien, Festspielhaus Salzburg, Philharmonie Berlin, Konzerthaus Luzern, Tonhalle Zürich) with the most famous conductors (Vladimir Jurowski, Pierre Boulez, Ingo Metzmacher, Kurt Masur, Franz Welser-Möst, Jonathan Nott, Daniel Harding, Fabio Luisi, John Axelrod, Helmut Rilling, Ádám Fischer).
Maria Beatrice Cantelli works as principal flutist in different orchestras all over Europe, including “Camerata Salzburg”, “Stuttgarter Kammerorchester”,”Haydn Orchester Bozen”, “Tiroler Festspielorchester Erl”, “Orchestra da Camera di Mantova”, “Vorarlberger Symphonieorchester”, “Münchner Kammerorchester”.
Maria Beatrice had a temporary contract as assistant principal flutist at the “Grazer Philharmoniker/Opernorchester” (2011-2012), won the audition for the volunteer position at the RSO Stuttgart and was academic member of “Mahler Chamber Orchestra” and member of “Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester”.
The young musician has been awarded several prizes, such as the “Allegro Vivo” in in Horn (Austria) and at the International Woodwind “AUDIMozart” competition in Rovereto (Italy).
At the early age of 16 years, Maria Beatrice was admitted to the University “Mozarteum” in the class of Irena Grafenauer. In 2009 she earned her master´s degree in Concert Studies with the highest mark, for which she was awarded the Austrian Culture ministry’s honorary prize. 2011 she earned another master´s degree with Prof. János Bálint at the “Orchesterzentrum NRW” in Dortmund-Detmold.
She is also playing the baroque flute. She had lessons with Michael Casdorff-Schmidt, Marcello Gatti and Dorothee Oberlinger and is performing with the chamber orchestra “RecreationBAROCK”.
